Client Onboarding SOP

Give new clients a smooth, professional, optionally-branded start.

When to use

When signing a new client or engagement.

Procedure

  • 1. Create a project for the client and assign a PM.
  • 2. Record the client’s contacts as stakeholders (assigned-by) — they don’t need system access.
  • 3. Set up the initial task list, milestones, and any recurring retainer work.
  • 4. Apply white-label branding if enabled, so the experience and reports carry your brand.
  • 5. Share the kickoff plan and progress via an exportable, client-ready report.
  • 6. Schedule a recurring client check-in.

Note on access

Clients are kept informed through reports rather than logins. If you want a fully client-facing product, white-label lets you run TaskWave as your own platform and decide who gets access.
